Beginning this month, the Public Education Department and Department of Health are offering a new onsite testing option for staff and students. BinaxNOW antigen tests are free of charge to schools. Tests may be administered by school nurses, health assistants or other trained staff, and results are available in minutes. Student testing will begin no later than April 26. Families may opt-in to surveillance testing, but no individual student is required to participate.
