The Johnson O'Malley Program is a federal program that provides educational assistance to Native American students. It was originally established in 1934 to provide financial assistance for Native American students to attend school. The program is designed to help Native American students overcome the challenges they face in education and achieve their full potential.

The JOM program encourages parental involvement in the Indian Education Committee (IEC). Parents can represent their child's respective schools and community while advocating for the JOM program in development, planning, and implementation throughout the school year. Additionally, the program provides a variety of instructional supplies and materials, as well as field trips and professional development opportunities that are diverse in terms of culture and language.
