Kirtland Central High School’s counselor provides academic, career, and social/emotional counseling to students in grades 9th -12th grade. School counselors can be reached by phone and email. In-person meetings are available by walk-ins and appointment.

After School Credit Recovery

KCHS students are provided an opportunity during the school year to make up
credit through after-school programs for classes they failed in core courses.
Students can retake up to two classes (1 credit), 2-days a week per class for 16
weeks. After-school credit recovery is from 4:00PM - 5:00 PM and is
taught by KCHS teachers. This is offered during both the fall and spring semesters.

New Mexico Graduation Requirements

Students earning a high school diploma in New Mexico are required to earn 24 credits. Within the 24 credits, 1 credit must be an honors, dual credit, advanced placement, or distance learning credit. Seniors are required to have passed and earned ALL 24 credits to participate in the graduation ceremony.
