Denise Pierro Named NM Gifted Teacher of the Year 2024

Albuquerque, NM — Denise Pierro, a dedicated educator at Judy Nelson Elementary School, has been honored with the prestigious title of New Mexico Gifted Teacher of the Year 2024 by the New Mexico Association for the Gifted (NMAG).

This award recognizes Pierro’s exceptional commitment to meeting the unique needs of gifted students and her outstanding contributions to the field of gifted education. Pierro’s innovative teaching methods, advocacy for gifted learners, and dedication to fostering an environment where her students can thrive and have a lasting impact on her students and the broader educational community.
