Dominic Sategna Appointed as New Finance Director

Shiprock, NM – The Central Consolidated School District (CCSD) has appointed Dominic Sategna as its new Director of Finance. Sategna brings a wealth of experience in finance, architecture, planning, and public service to the district, along with deep roots in the local community.

Professional Background

  • Investment Management: Sategna has worked in investment management as a senior analyst for 10 years.
  • Education: Sategna received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Policy Planning from the University of New Mexico (UNM).
  • Architecture and Planning: Prior to his work in finance, Sategna gained experience in architecture, planning, and design, including school buildings and training centers. He also collaborated with Ann Taylor, a professor at UNM, to incorporate architecture into K-12 classrooms to teach math and science.
  • Public Service: Sategna served on the planning commission for three years in the city of Santa Fe and as president of the Homeowners Association (HOA).

Local Ties and Commitment

  • Bloomfield Native: Sategna grew up in Bloomfield, New Mexico, and is returning to the area after living in Santa Fe for 10 years.
  • Family of Educators: Sategna comes from a family of educators, coaches, and administrators with over 45 years of experience in the area.
