Kaleigh Coolidge, the accomplished girls soccer player who spent all four years of her high school career at Kirtland Central High School, has announced her intention to join the women's soccer program at Gillette College in Wyoming. With the signing of her letter of intent this month at a ceremony attended by coaches and family at Karlin Gym at Kirtland Central High School, Coolidge has taken the first step towards fulfilling her ambition of playing at the next level.

The Kirtland Central Broncos, under the leadership of Coach Kiera Smith, have finished each of the past three seasons with a winning record, with Coolidge playing a total of over 40 games and scoring six goals throughout her prep soccer career. While the Broncos have not advanced past the first round of the Class 4A state soccer tournament in recent seasons, Coolidge's impressive record indicates that she has the potential to make an impact at the next level.

Gillette College, one of over 200 schools in the National Junior College Athletic Association, competes in the Region 9 conference that includes schools in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and Nebraska. The Pronghorns women's soccer team, coached by Anthony Longo, struggled last season, winning only two of their 16 matches. However, the team has a history of success, having won their first postseason tournament match in 2020 against the Community College of Baltimore County (Maryland) Essex.

Coolidge's decision to join the Pronghorns is a testament to her ambition and talent, and we will be following her progress as she takes on the next challenge in her soccer career.
