Graduation Events Guide

Career Prep High School

• Parking is relatively easy to access the Phil L. Thomas Performing Arts Center with a large dirt lot included west of the building.
• Bags are prohibited except for small purses and diaper bags.
• No outside food or drink during the ceremony.
• The venue is equipped with ramps, handicap access, and seating areas for those who need them.
• Parents of Valedictorian and Salutatorian: Will be 6 seats reserved in the front row for each.
• Security will be present at the graduation ceremony to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
• Parking will be available for attendees on both sides of the PAC center.

Shiprock High School

• Parking is available east of the campus to access the Chieftain PIT.
• Each graduate has 20 tickets for guests.
• Bags are prohibited except for small purses and diaper bags.
• No outside food or drink during the ceremony
• Handcap access: For those who require wheelchair access, the north side of the PIT has rails and is equipped for accessibility. This is conveniently located on the same side as the entry doorway.
• Parents of the top ten students will have seating available on the PIT floor to the side of the graduates.
• VIP Guests: Seated on the PIT floor to the side of the graduates.
• Security will be present at the graduation ceremony to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

Newcomb High School

• Open seating in the Skyhawk Gym for the community.
  • Parental seating on the floor.
  • Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
• Bags are prohibited except for small purses and diaper bags.
• No outside food or drink during the ceremony
• Handicap access: There are specific areas on the floor level of the gym.
• Handicap parking is available inside the gated area by the gym.
• Parents of the top ten students will have seating closer to the stage.
• VIP Guests: Seated on the gym floor to the side of the graduates.
• Security will be present at the graduation ceremony to ensure a safe environment for all attendees, including parking lot/traffic control.
  • Our team is here to assist all attendees in finding a suitable parking spot before the graduation ceremony.

Kirtland Central High School

• You can find parking options on the north, east, and west sides of the campus.
  • There will be a shuttle from Bond Wilson Technicial Center, Kirtland NM, to the field starting at 9:15 am and operating for 45 minutes after the graduation ends.
• Each graduate will receive ten tickets if it rains and needs to be held inside.
• Bags are prohibited except for small purses and diaper bags.
• No outside food, only water is allowed in
• Handicap Access: There will be parking on the fence by the entrance to the football field, the south side of the football field, and the north side of the shotput field.
  • There will be signs and personnel assigned to the handicapped areas.
  • Someone at the gate will take tickets and allow the family member or guest to assist as well.
  • There will also be chairs on the track in front of the stands.
  • There will be golf carts available with someone to drive them.
• Honor Parents will be seated on the field to the left of the stage. Students will be there to help with seating. If the ceremony has to move to the gym, parents will be seated in the first row of the west side bleachers.
• VIP Guests will be seated on the field to the left of the stage.
• Gates will open at 8:00 am.
• Security will be present in abundance at the graduation ceremony to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
