The 2024/2025 Annual Benefits Open Enrollment is scheduled from October 1, 2024, to November 22, 2024. During Open Enrollment, all employees can make changes to their current benefits without having a qualifying event. Please take some time to review your benefits, contact information, and beneficiaries. All changes will be accepted until November 22, 2024. Any changes submitted after the deadline date will not be accepted. The effective date for all changes will be January 1, 2025. Payroll deduction begins on December 10, 2024, paycheck.
Both the HR Benefits Specialist and a CBA Benefits Broker will be available in-person at your school location to assist you.
NMPSIA has announced that all Open/Switch Enrollment requests
MUST be submitted through the employee NMPSIA Online System. Tutorials are available to help you with your online Open/Switch Enrollment submission, click
here. An HR representative will be on-site to assist if you are having any issues with the NMPSIA Online System. Please DO NOT submit any changes until the Open/Switch Enrollment period begins on October 1st.
What can employees do during Open/Switch Enrollment?
- Add, drop, and/or switch plans:
- Medical plans (High/Low/EPO): NM BlueCross BlueShield, Presbyterian Health Plans
- Dental plans (High/Low): United Concordia, Delta Dental
- NEW!! BlueCross BlueShield Dental (High/Low) - Employees can switch to the new dental plan. You do not need to have a BCBS medical plan to be eligible.
- Vision plan: Davis Vision. There is a two-year enrollment requirement. Cancellation is allowed for employees and dependents if they have met the two-year enrollment requirement.
- Long-Term Disability. Employee must complete the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form if adding coverage.
- Voluntary Additional Life Insurance at 1X, 2X, or 3X. Employee must complete the Evidence of Insurability form if adding coverage. Separate EOI forms must be completed for spouse and children over age of 18.
- Update contact information.
- Update beneficiary information.
- Add or drop eligible dependents.
- Add or drop Supplementary Benefits through Competitive Benefits Administrator (CBA). This includes enrollments into newly offered Colonial Life products, cancelling or switching to direct billing for AFLAC products, Globe Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Retirement Plans (403b/457b).
- NEW!! Colonial Life replaced AFLAC products.
- NEW!! Ameriflex replaced HealthEquity as the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) vendor.
