Heritage Programs

Discover the Spanish Heritage Program: Embrace Culture, Language, and Community!

Would you like your child to learn Spanish and explore rich cultures? Are you interested in giving your child the opportunity to speak, read, and write in another language beyond English? Our Spanish Heritage Program is designed to make this possible! Here’s what you need to know:

What Will Happen?

Daily Spanish Classes: Your child will attend Spanish class every day for 60 minutes, immersing themselves in the language and culture on a regular basis.
Integrated Learning: Students will learn Spanish through instruction that supports content areas taught in their regular classroom, ensuring that language learning is relevant and integrated with their overall education.
Enrichment Only: The program is designed as enrichment, so students will not be assessed through EL (English Learner) assessments. Instead, the focus is on enhancing their language skills and cultural understanding.

Benefits of the Spanish Heritage Program

Cultural Enrichment: Students engage deeply with Spanish-speaking cultures, fostering a strong connection to their heritage and gaining appreciation for diverse traditions.
Advanced Language Skills: Enhance proficiency in Spanish, improving abilities in reading, writing, and speaking. This opens doors to future academic and career opportunities.
Academic Excellence: Bilingual students often excel in problem-solving and critical thinking. Our program combines rigorous academics with cultural studies for well-rounded intellectual development.
Community and Identity: Join a supportive community that values heritage, helping students build confidence and a strong sense of identity.
Bilingual Seal Opportunity: Students have the chance to earn the Bilingual Seal after passing a test, recognizing their high level of proficiency in Spanish and adding significant value to their academic achievements.
